Small business search work is mostly unglamorous. Fix what is broken, build the pages that are missing, then keep at it.

The part that gets skipped is deciding what you actually want to rank for. A plumber in Leeds does not need to rank for plumber. They need to rank for boiler repair in the four postcodes they will drive to on a Tuesday.

What we do not do

We do not buy links. We do not publish thin pages for every town within fifty miles, because Google has been demoting that pattern for years and it puts the rest of your site at risk.

How it runs

  1. 01

    Audit

Crawl, index check, Core Web Vitals, and a look at what your competitors rank for that you do not.

  2. 02

    Fix the technical debt

Broken redirects, duplicate pages and slow templates first, because content work on a broken site is wasted.

  3. 03

    Build the pages

One page per thing you want to be found for, written to answer the question rather than to hit a word count.

  4. 04

    Measure

Search Console and analytics, reported monthly against enquiries.

Common questions

How long before I see anything?

Technical fixes can move things within weeks. New pages competing for commercial terms usually take three to six months to settle. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is selling you something else.

Do I need a blog?

Only if you have something to say that your customers search for. A neglected blog with four posts from 2022 does more harm than no blog.

What about AI search results?

The same things help. Clear structure, marked up facts, pages that answer a specific question, and being cited elsewhere. We mark up services, prices and FAQs so machines can read them without guessing.
