An online shop is mostly plumbing. The design matters, but what decides whether it works is whether the delivery rules match reality, whether stock numbers are trustworthy, and whether the confirmation email arrives.
We build shops for businesses that already sell things and want the website to stop being the awkward part.
Where shops go wrong
Delivery is the usual culprit. A flat postage rate that ignores weight bands looks tidy until you are losing money on every bulky order. We map your real shipping costs into rules before anything is designed.
The second is stock. If the number on the website is wrong, you spend your week apologising. Where you already run stock control somewhere else, the website should read from it rather than keep its own count.
How it runs
- 01
Catalogue review
How many products, how they vary, and where the data lives now. This decides most of the build.
- 02
Payment and delivery rules
Agreed in writing before the build, because these are the two areas that generate change requests later.
- 03
Build and stock import
We import your real products so you are testing with real data.
- 04
Test transactions
Live card, real refund, both checked end to end before launch.
Common questions
Which payment provider should I use?
Stripe suits most UK small retailers on cost and setup time. If you already take card payments in person, staying with that provider can be simpler for reconciliation. We will compare the fees on your actual volumes.
Do I need to worry about consumer law?
Yes, and it catches people out. Distance selling rules give UK consumers a fourteen day cancellation right, and your terms, returns policy and pre-contract information have to say so plainly. We build the pages, you should have them checked by someone qualified.
Can it connect to my accounts package?
Usually. Xero, QuickBooks and Sage all have workable integrations. Tell us which one and we will confirm before quoting.
Tell us what the site has to do
Send a couple of lines about the business and what is not working. You get a straight answer on whether we are the right fit, and a fixed price if we are.
